Baby Games

By theguideto

For many parents, nothing can be more important than his or her child’s intellectual development. It’s wonderful and heart-warming when you notice your little one’s mind slowly developing and becoming more curious of the things around him or her.

A more intellectually-developed child has more potential of becoming successful in the future. For this reason, many parents try to hone their children’s minds even while they are still babies or toddlers.

One of the most practical and effective ways of how you can help your baby with his or her intellectual development is by playing games with him or her. Baby games are fun activities that help hone and develop your little angel’s mind. These can also keep your baby occupied and interested. Many parents also use baby games during bonding moments with their kids.

There are numerous baby games available today, ranging from simple ones to more complex types. Some are ideal for young infants that are only a few months old, while some baby games are for toddlers. Some games use toys and items such as building blocks, colorful pictures and books.

Baby games help your child’s intellectual growth. Here are a couple of examples of simple baby games that you can play with your kids.

  • Where’s The Toy?: This baby game is suitable if your baby is between one to two years old. You’ll need three containers and a small toy. Line up the containers, place the toy under one of them and let your child watch as you scramble and change their positions. Let him or her guess which container has the toy under it.
  • Bubble Popping Game: This game can be played with children between 1 ½ to 2 years old. The game will help them develop their hand-eye motor coordination. Blow bubbles and let your child learn how to keep them afloat by teaching them to blow underneath. Then, let the child pop the bubble in between his or her hands. You can play this game while you’re giving a bath to your baby.

With these baby games, you will develop not just his or her motor and intellectual skills, but also the bond between you both.
