Herpes is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases today. This disease is caused by the Herpes Simplex virus, a part of the Herpesviridae family of viruses. The Herpes Simplex virus is caused by two strains, the type 1 or HSV 1, and the type 2 or HSV 2. The type 1 strain causes symptoms such as blisters and lesions in the areas around and inside the mouth while the type 2 (genital herpes) strain causes those symptoms to appear around the area of the sex organs.

These two strains of the Herpes Simplex virus cause extreme pain and discomfort when it infects humans. Though not life-threatening, people infected could easily transmit the virus through contact with the infected skin area. The reason why this infection causes so much pain is because the virus resides and multiplies around the nerve endings of the skin area. Though infection is common in either the mouth area or the genital area, these symptoms may appear on any part of the skin.

Although there is no herpes cure to date, there atre ways to treat the herpes virus. Living a healthy lifestyle and eating right will make your immune system better. Many healthy people live with HSV-1 and HSV-2 without even being aware they carry the virus. An individual may not know they are spreading the herpes virus to others and this is one of the reasons why it continues to spread.

Avoid ejaculating inside the vagina if sores are present in the urethra.

These first came on the market approximately fifteen years ago. Acyclovir is the most common prescription but there are now many options and your doctor should be consulted about what drugs could help treat your particular case of herpes. Make sure to see a doctor while you still have the outbreak. In the meantime, non-prescription painkillers can also help dull the pain.

Symptoms of herpes vary depending on the person. Symptoms are typically characterized by periodic eruptions of bumps, blisters and lesions. Most often, small red bumps appear first, develop into watery blisters, and then become itchy, painful sores that develop scabs. These tend to occur in the oral or genital regions, depending on the type of herpes contracted. The blisters often resemble those seen in chickenpox (a sub-form of herpes, HHV-3). Sores typically last two to four weeks, but recur in frequent intervals. The first outbreak is usually the worst and may be accompanied by flu-like symptoms. However, many infected people only show very minor signs that they have the disease.

By far the two most common forms of herpes are oral herpes and genital herpes. Oral herpes cause ulcerative lesions in the oral region that are commonly referred to as cold sores or fever blisters. Fever blisters or cold sores usually look like tiny, clear, fluid-filled blisters on the face (most commonly on the corner of your lips). They can also occur on any part of a mucous membrane, including: blisters under the nose, on the tongue, inside the cheek, on your gums, or the roof of your mouth. These lesions are sometimes accompanied by flu-like symptoms. The number of blisters varies from one to a cluster of many. A cold sore usually clears by itself in one to two weeks. The blisters typically become very itchy or sensitive, and eventually these blisters break on their own, allowing the fluid contents to ooze. In due course, scabs form, leaving slightly red skin. These marks will not scar, but avoid scratching or picking at them excessively, as this may encourage scarring and spreading the virus.

The severity and frequency of symptoms can vary a great deal from person to person. Some people experience severe outbreaks with painful burning and multiple blisters and sores, while others sense only mild discomforts. Typically, symptoms appear within two weeks of having sexual contact with an infected person. Symptoms can then last two to three weeks. These can include:

An itching or burning feeling in the genital or anal region may be a sign of genital herpes. Flu-like symptoms, vaginal discharge swollen glands, pain in the legs, buttocks or genital area are also signs that you may have genital herpes. Small red bumps that turn into blisters that will become open sores is also a sign of the herpes virus.

Genital herpes can be tricky to diagnose. People often confuse herpes outbreaks with an outbreak of boils. Boils are larger and more painful, but unlike with herpes, a variety of cures are readily available. Women can also misdiagnose or mistake herpes sores in the vagina for other types of infection. It is not uncommon for a physician to misdiagnose herpes as a yeast infection or other forms of inflammatory disease.

Of course, your physician is your best bet for a proper diagnosis. It is important to visit your doctor if you think you have an outbreak. The best way for your health care provider to diagnose genital herpes is by looking at the sores while you still have an outbreak.

Anxiety disorders and depression frequently come together. Approximately half of all people with an anxiety problem also suffer from depression, and two-thirds of people with depression have a co-existing anxiety disorder, according to the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (n.d.). The large occurrence of co-occurrence for these two ailments strongly suggests they are linked.

One reason for this link might be the significant overlap in the risk factors and causes for the two conditions. When you compare symptoms, however, the link is more complicated. Some symptoms are strikingly similar (such as having a negative outlook on life), while others could be considered opposites.

Symptoms of Anxiety Disorders and Depression

Anxiety disorders and depression are generally considered mood disorders. They affect the way an individual feels, which impacts thoughts and behavior.

An anxiety disorder’s effect on mood differs somewhat, depending on the type of disorder. Generally, however, a person with an anxiety disorder goes through intense worry and fear along with chronic, unwanted negative thoughts. These emotions can result in distraction and difficulty completing tasks. Physical symptoms could include agitation, muscle tension and sleeplessness. Behaviorally, the individual may frequently avoid situations that increase anxiety and stress.

As with any anxiety disorder, people with depression may also feel agitated, tense and have sleeplessness. They can have difficulty focusing on completing a task and may display avoidance behaviors, just as anxiety disorder sufferers often do.

However, people who have depression will often have strong feelings of hopelessness and overwhelming sadness, which frequently lead to slowness of movement and speech. Depression may also cause people to sleep an excessive amount rather than not enough. These depression symptoms are notably different from the jumpy, excitable behavior associated with many anxiety disorders.

Causes and Risk Factors of Depression

Alcohol or drug abuse

Certain medical conditions, including underactive thyroid, cancer, or long-term pain

Certain medications such as steroids

Family history of mood disorders

Gender (females are at higher risk than males)

Lower levels of certain brain chemicals associated with mood (e.g. serotonin)

Sleeping problems

Stressful events such as:

Breaking up with a boyfriend or girlfriend

Failing a class

Death or illness of someone close to you

Divorce

Childhood abuse or neglect

Job loss

Social isolation (common in the elderly)

The overlap in factors that cause the two disorders is reflected in their highly similar treatment approaches. Both disorders are generally treatable with antidepressant medications and psychotherapy.

Are Anxiety Disorders and Depression One Condition?

The symptoms between panic attacks and depression are related but different, while the causes are nearly indistinguishable. Because of this link, some psychologists are starting to question if the two conditions may actually represent different sets of symptoms that are part of a single disorder. At this time, anxiety disorders and depression are classified as different diseases. However, research into this question is ongoing, and a better understanding of why they co-occur so often may be just around the corner.

Reconstructive surgery on the nose or rhinoplasty, is more commonly known as a “nose job.” Rhinoplasty alters the outer appearance of the nose & is unlike septoplasty, which is a type of sinus surgery or nose surgery that alters the inner structure of the nose, usually to help with breathing problems. The main purpose of this proceedure is to achieve a more harmonious balance of the nose with other facial features. It is best performed by a cosmetic physician who has a good understanding of facial anatomy as well as who has extensive experience in nose surgery.

What is Typically Changed

A nose job can change just about any aspect of the nose’s appearance. Nose surgery can:

alter the angle between the nose and upper lip

correct or alter birth defects

increase or decrease the overall size of the nose

reshape or alter the tip of the nose

straighten or reshape the bridge of the nose

widen or thin out the shape of the nose.

Best Candidates for Nose Surgery

People considering a nose job should be over the age of 18 and in good physical health. They should also be mentally stable and have realistic expectations for the procedure.

A nose job can enhance other facial features, correct defects and balance facial symmetry. It cannot change every aspect of a person’s face or alter their entire appearance.

Nose Surgery Financing

Because cosmetic plastic surgery procedures can get expensive, many surgeons offer payment plans or refer patients to financial institutions that offer plastic surgery loans. Banks and other financial institutions offer loans specifically for plastic surgery. This way, patients have a longer period of time for which to pay off their procedures.

Nose Surgery Costs

Rhinoplasty is one of the five most popular procedures in the United States.

The cost of each procedure varies depending on the specific surgeon, your location and the extent of the procedure, but is typically no less than $5,000.00

Most health insurance plans will not cover a nose job unless it is done out of medical necessity, such as if the patient has a breathing problem. Check ahead of time with your health care provider before counting on your procedure being covered by insurance.

Nose Surgery Risks and Effects

While rhinoplasty is a safe and usually routine procedure, the recovery period can be difficult for some people. Patients can experience swelling, bruising and tenderness for a few weeks following the surgery. Rest and relaxation is necessary.

Most rhinoplasty patients are also given prescription pain killers following surgery. These should be picked up before the procedure so that patients don’t have to worry about visiting a pharmacy while in pain and bandaged up.

In some cases, complications can occur after the surgery. These are rare, but can include:

a numb sensation in or around the nose

an uneven-looking or asymmetrical nose

difficulty breathing through the nose

frequent nosebleeds

reduced sense of smell

visible scarring.

After surgery, patients should avoid certain activities to reduce their risk of complications and extra pain. These include:

aerobics, jogging and any other strenuous exercise or activity

lifting anything that weighs more than 25 pounds

sleeping with your head lower than your chest

swimming.

These precautions and others may be necessary for several weeks after surgery. Your surgeon will give you specific information on precautions to take and how long to take them.

In Today’s world your interactions with Banks, Credit Card Companies, and almost any other Financial based institution is influenced by your Credit Report Data and Credit Scores.

Everybody has a Personal Credit History and Credit Score which these Financial Institutions use to judge what Risk is involved to loan you Money or give you a Credit Card.

Credit Reports and Credit Scores have always been shrouded in mystery and secrecy in the past, despite its massive impact on the Average Consumer. However, this is all going to change in 2011.
A Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will gain authority over enforcing the credit-score disclosure rules when this new bureau starts up as a consumer watchdog agency on July 21 2011.
Lenders almost always review credit reports to determine a loan applicant’s credit-worthiness and risk level. Low credit scores and negative information on credit reports can leave a consumer paying higher interest rates or being outright denied Credit, loans, or Credit Cards.

Under the New Rules, creditors must disclose credit scores and related information to consumers when a credit score is used in setting terms of credit or when denying a consumers application for credit.

John Ulzheimer, president of consumer education for SmartCredit.com, said in a recent interview that the new regulations would be “hugely empowering” for consumers, enabling them to see the exact score banks and other lenders use to make credit decisions.

Dog make great companions especially if they are raised as puppies. But there are many dog breeds to choose from in the world and each have their own unique appearance, personality and temperament. If you want a small dog with a big personality, you can always go with the Chihuahua breed.
Appearance, Built and Temperament

Chihuahuas is considered to be the smallest type of dog in the world (teacup Chihuahua) especially when they are newly born. Chihuahua puppies grow up to have a round head with a very tiny yet pointed muzzle. Chihuahua puppies grow up to have big black or ruby eyes. Chihuahua puppies are also known to have large ears that stand high.

As puppies, Chihuahuas have a very fragile portion on top of their skull called the “molera”. As they get older, the sensitive portion develops and the gap closes when they reach adulthood. It’s build is small and stout with a curved tail and High Energy. The Chihuahua is the dog most people think of when they recall ‘Yappy Dogs’ from their past experiences. These dogs like any other breed can have undesired behaviour if the owners do not properly train the animal. They can come in short or long haired coats which may vary in colors of sand, chestnut, black tan, steel blue, fawn or a mix of all the mentioned colors.

In term of temperament, Chihuahua puppies grow up to be very energetic. They typically posses the traits of being affectionate, brave, bold (despite their size) and frequently they try to get the attention of their master. They are loyal companions which stay close to their owners especially when strangers are around. They can be sensitive when being teased.

Raising Chihuahua Puppies and Sources

If you’re thinking of training a Chihuahua, the best way to start is to raise them from birth. Nothing beats building a strong and deep emotional bond with a Chihuahua while they are still pups. Make sure to nurture the puppy from birth before they reach the age of about six months. It’s during this period, the Chihuahua adjusts and associates with it’s surroundings.

Chihuahua puppies can be found in many Chihuahua kennels. Sources to Chihuahua puppies and kennels can be found on many websites which provides a list of Chihuahuas with their pictures and descriptions. They are usually up for adoption or for sale.

When it comes to painting your exteriors, people are often worried about what color to use. Painting your house exterior with the wrong color can be a real disaster. That is why people are often cautious of choosing the right color for exterior paint.

As a general rule, if you want your house to appear brighter and more spacious, you have to use exterior paints with light colors. Dark colors tend to absorb more heat, so using dark colors for paint will make your home warmer. If you live in a warm area, using dark paint is not suitable. Yet, you can choose a lighter shade of the paint color you want as a compromise. All it takes is some creativity to make your house exterior look attractive.

Some people opt to use several colors. It is a common mistake to use only two colors. Only a few realize that using three or four colors have very surprising and dramatic effect. When choosing the colors to use, see to it that the colors are complimentary. Some colors might seem hip for a season or two but think about the neighborhood you live in and whether the color combination fits in versus sticks out like a sore thumb.

Lastly, you have to choose the right brand of paint too. There are different types of paint, each used for specific purposes. When choosing exterior house paint, make sure the paint is made for the surface you are painting on.

If you will be painting on wood, then you have to use paint that can be used on wood. The paint should also be able to endure the environmental conditions like heat and moisture.

Paint of low quality is basically a waste of money. You may be able to save some money at the start, but you will have to spend again when the paint chips, or starts to peel.

With good exterior paint, you do not only have a beautiful home, but you also raise the value of your home. If ever you decide to sell your home, it will fetch a higher price if it has a beautiful paint job.
