Right now there are various tools and kits on the market that purport to offer perfect contraception or fertility awareness. You can choose to use these kits or not, but often they don’t make a difference.
For instance, you can choose to buy the Cycle Beads for the Standard Days Method, but you could just as easily follow the method without beads, or make your own beads (the key here is to include an arrow on each bead so you know which way you’re counting).
You can also buy ovulation predictors, or other cycle tools that are often used when couples are trying to conceive. They are not 100% accurate, but used in conjunction with other methods, they can help you.
Other tools that you will need are a charts and calendars to write on. You might even consider making your own personal chart to include what you want included (temperature, cervical mucus, menstruation, etc). Some people find it easier to understand the change in their body temperatures when it is written out on a graph rather than simply the numbers. Consider this when choosing your tools.
Fertility Awareness methods do not require fancy equipment. If you choose to invest in this equipment, it might help you understand your cycle more. Remember to still pay attention to your body, however. If you enjoy reading this article, you’ll surely be interested in learning how to know when you’re ovulating.
