Forgetting Birth Control Patch
If you forget to put on a new birth control patch after your week of being off the Patch, you need to put the Patch on as soon as you remember, and use back-up contraception (such as condoms) for the next seven days.
If you forget to take off your patch before your week off, simply remove your patch when you remember, and apply a new patch on the first day of your rough monthly cycle.
If you forget to change your birth control patch between cycles by either one or two days, simply change your patch. If you forget for more than two days, you will need to use back up birth control for the next seven days.
Like most methods of hormonal contraception, there are 21 days of hormones followed by a 7 day break which makes up your 28 day cycle.
