The Patch, like many forms of birth control, will help clear up your acne.
However, the Patch is applied to an area of skin each week. It needs to be applied to the upper torso (excluding the breasts), buttocks, the upper outer arm, or the abdomen. It is best to choose a place to apply the Patch that you don’t use many creams or lotions, because that might cause an irritable reaction.
The Patch can cause some skin irritation at the site it is applied. To lessen the irritation where it is applied, change the application site each week.
When you take the Patch off, there is often a slight sticky residue, or an area around the site that has gotten some fabric stuck to it. Instead of scratching or picking away at this spot, which will only cause irritation, use rubbing alcohol to quickly and easily remove the stickiness and any mark.
